How often should I replace my windshield wipers? More than anything, wipers should always be replaced when they impair a driver's vision in adverse weather. A safe rule to go by is to replace traditional rubber wipers every 6 to 12 months. However, our premium silicone wipers should last a minimum of one year, and in many cases have been known to last several years.
How can I tell what type of wiper arm I have on my car? Our wiper packages come with an illustrated instruction sheet. Use the circled illustrations to find which arm you have. Our pre-installed universal adapter fits most wiper arm designs.
What size wiper does my vehicle take? See our Application Guide for a listing of vehicle wiper sizes, along with which of our products are available in those sizes.
Why do we use Silicone for the Armor All™ Premium line of wiper blades? Silicone blades can withstand extreme temperature and weather conditions that normal rubber blades cannot. Armor All™ wiper blades can operate in temperatures ranging from -110 F to 350 F, giving them the durability to make it through the extremes of summer and winter, without sacrificing performance. Whereas most natural rubber blades need to be replacedannually, Armor All™ Premium wiper blades can give you years of peak performance. Silicone automatically applies windshield treatment with every wipe; this unique feature produces a water beading effect without the need and hassle of a separate application.
Why are my blades leaving a film on my windshield? Armor All™ premium silicone wipers are designed to leave a micro-thin clear coat on the windshield. This invisible silicone coating beads-up water on impact. The water then rolls-off the windshield improving the driver's vision. The clear coat takes a short period of time to settle evenly, so initially there may be parts of the windshield with a thicker coat than others. Because this beading effect is naturally created on your windshield, we do not recommend using a silicone or wax based treatment along with the Armor All™ premium wiper blades.
My wipers are making a chattering noise and missing spots. What should I do? First, with a soft cloth, clean the windshield and wiper blades using a mixture of baking soda, dishwashing liquid and water. Next, make sure the wiper blade is correctly installed using the proper adapter. If the problem continues, adjust the tension by stopping the blades in the upright position. Hold blade at the point of connection to the arm and pull the blade away from the glass approximately two inches. Let the blade snap back to the glass. This process may need to be repeated a couple of times depending on the situation.

How should I clean my windshield? We suggest using the following mild abrasive cleaning solution. It is as follows:
· 1 tablespoon of baking soda
· 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid
· 4 cups of water
Mix the ingredients together and use a soft cloth to wipe down both the windshield and the silicone squeegee on the blades with the cleaning solution. Then rinse thoroughly to get off any excess solution.
